With so many people seeking plumbing apprenticeships in Ontario, two years of education can push you to the front of the line. In the second year of Sheridan at CCTT’s Plumbing Technician program, you’ll learn advanced concepts that can save you hundreds of classroom hours during an apprenticeship. You’ll also put your new skills and knowledge to work in a field placement.
Sheridan at CCTT is one of the few Ontario colleges that provides gas technician training approved by the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA). You’ll learn in our fully accredited TSSA Gas Lab and when you graduate you will:
• have completed the TSSA Gas Technician 3 curriculum and may be eligible to write an exam for certification through the TSSA
• be qualiﬁed to hook up furnaces, water heaters and other gas-ﬁred appliances
In addition to your plumbing courses, you’ll also learn from experts in subjects such as welding.
Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including these required courses:
• One English, Grade 12 (ENG4C or ENG4U)
• One Math, Grade 11 or 12 (C, M or U)
or Mature student status
Applicants who do no meet the admission requirements for this program will be assessed and advised individually regarding other related programs.
English Language Proficiency
All applicants whose first language is not English must meet Sheridan’s English proficient requirements.
